LA VOLPERA B&B
Casa Volpera is an old mansion dating back to 1661, built by Cardinal Bravi, who used to vacation there during the summer period.
The old house, a few hundred meters from Pope John XXIII's native town of Sotto il Monte, houses a B&B with 3 rooms, as well as an independent studio apartment, with an outdoor garden, free WiFi in all areas and private parking included in the rate, The house, with period furnishings, has a common part: the living room with a fireplace, the kitchenette equipped with dishes, the small room where breakfast is served and the covered terrace.
Sleeping at La Volpera B&B means taking a dip into the past, in a timeless place where you can rest body and soul amidst the surrounding nature and satisfy your eyes with a view that, on fine days, lets you glimpse the Apennines of the Po Valley.
From Volpera one can take various trails within the woods on foot or by mountain bike. One can take a trip to the Adda River and catch Leonardo's ferry that takes one from the Bergamo shore to the Lecco shore and back. But you can also spend a few days relaxing, enjoying a good book and the silence of nature.
B&B la Volpera is located in the hills at the foot of Mount Canto, within a small village dating back to the 1700s.
